We specialize in remanufacturing rack and pinions for exotic vehicles, such as:

The process

Rack and pinions are first taken apart and washed to free them from extraneous materials. All worn, bent and broken parts are discarded. Next the grooved housings are re-sleeved with steel sleeves to permanently eliminate "morning sickness".

The units are then rebuilt with new seals, O-Rings, bellows, inner tie rods, flow lines; and where necessary, good parts from other similar units replace bent or broken parts. Each assembled unit is then subjected to a series of tests with hydraulic pressure loads which are twice that of normal operating conditions, to ensure proper functioning under all driving situations.
